Can the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver Be Mounted Upside Down?
Question:
1. What is the exact thickness of the metal which form the L brackets that get welded onto the trailer frame? 2. Can this be mounted ‘upside down’ so that the receiver portion is on top, instead of underneath? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
I went out to our warehouse and measured the thickness of the L-Brackets on the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames # UF35-946403 and measured .34" or 11/32" thick.
As per the second question, you are not going to be able to mount this hitch upside down as the mounting brackets that mount to your frame need to be oriented in the way they're designed.
