Can Reese Elite Fifth Wheel Hitch be Adapted to Fit Above Bed Rails
Question:
I have a 24k Reese Elite that has puck legs on them right now. I want to take off the puck legs and put on a rail version legs. Is this possible to do and if so what part number do I need?

The Reese Elite hitches do not have a set of legs that can replace what they come with to allow them to fit above-bed rails like you mentioned. If you wanted a similarly rated fifth wheel hitch that does fit above bed rails I would recommend the Curt A25 part # C16180. This hitch holds the king pin tighter than the Elite hitch so the ride quality would be smoother, the hitch is lighter, and overall very high quality and easy to use.
