If you are not wanting to use a Adapter 7-Pole to 6-Pole # 47549 and would rather wire in a new Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector # HM20087 the wiring may be confusing. There may be some trial and error involved as the wiring could have been connected differently on your trailer. I have included a picture below of the plug wiring if you have not already removed the 6-pin connection so that you will be able to label the wires based off their location in the connector.

I recommend tracing the wires as far as possible to determine where each wire is going first. This will help you to eliminate a lot of trial and error. First you will need to determine which wire is your ground wire. This should terminate rather closely to the frame near the plug end. Typically the ground is a white wire but since you do not have the white wire I believe that it may be the black wire. I'm going to give you my best guess at to what each wire is used for. Remember this is my best guess based on what is common practice and may not be exact for your trailer.

Black-Ground
Red-12v +
Brown-Running Lights
Yellow-Left Turn/Stop
Green-Right Turn/Stop
Blue-Brake Controller
