Recommended Hitch, Wiring Harness, and Brake Controller for a 2022 Audi SQ5

Question:

I need a hitch, wiring harness and brake controller for a 2022 Audi SQ5 . Im not sure the appropriate wiring package, or what all I need. I do not want to a lot of cutting and splicing into my Audi's wiring if I can prevent it. Can you help? I have heard good things about the Curt Echo. I won't be towing often so I like the idea of being able to remove the brake controller when I am not using it.

I would be happy to help you add a hitch, wiring harness, and brake controller to your 2022 Audi SQ5.

For the easiest all in one solution to your hitch and wiring harness, I recommend the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit item # 391AUDQ518T. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Audi with included hardware.

This kit includes the 7-way wiring harness you will need to control your trailer's brakes. The receiver is also completely removable when you are not towing. It includes a towing ball mount and a 2" x 2" accessory receiver for bike racks and cargo carriers.

The Curt Echo item # C51180 is the best option for a brake controller for your Audi. The Echo is 100% removable when you are not towing and you do not have to cut or splice any wires. The Echo installs in line with your trailer and Audi's 7-way connectors.

The Echo is a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your SQ5 decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.

If you like the reassurance of a manual override button you will want the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR. You can mount it wherever you want it inside your vehicle.
