Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel on a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 and Replacement Legs for Reese 16K Head
Question:
I have a new 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 regular cab with an 8 foot box. I want to install my hitch that I took out of my 6.5 foot box Ram. My hitch is a Reese 16K tube slider. Part # 30075. I know I no longer need a slider with the 8 foot box but I dont want to buy a new hitch. Will this kit #50062-6008 fit on my new Ram and work with the hitch I have?

The proper installation kit for your 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 is part # RP50140-58. These brackets that mount to the frame underneath the bed, and the rails that are in the bed for the Fifth Wheel to attach to.
You do not necessarily have to remove the sliders and replace them with fixed legs, but if you want to, Reese part # RP30727 are the legs to fit DrawTite and Reese 15K, 16K and 18K heads.
