Why Do Inno Roof Rack for 2022 Subaru Forester Have Different Length Crossbars

Question:

2022 Subaru Forester wilderness edition with factory raised side rails. Going to use a roof rack for bike mounts. Why are there 2 different bar lengths for this car with this inno rack? I know that the Thule and Yakima use two 50” bars. With the t slot/track, how does this handle rain? Since the t slot/track will have some opening where rain gets in, how does it drain if the ends of the bar is sealed? How well does the t track/slot rubber hold up over time? E.g., cracking, drying out, etc INXB123-130,INXS150 Thanks!

Inno has a few roof racks that fit your 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness edition with raised rails. The reason for this is basically because some people want more bar space for more accessories whereas other people might prefer a shorter bar option. For a 51 and 54 inch version you'd want the part numbers # INXB130-138 and # INXS150 whereas for a staggered set of 48 and 51 inch # INXB123-130 and # INXS150. Now the reason for the different lengths of bars that fit each rack has is because the vehicle has a tapered front to back design so the bars are different lengths to match that.

The tracks have rubber covers too which prevent water from getting into. The ends are not water tight so they would drain water if needed.
