There are a number of parts you'll need to flat tow your 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid, and I assume you do not have the plug-in and this is just the standard hybrid, which is important for base plate fit. For a Hybrid, I really like the Blue Ox for their overall quality and how hidden they are after installation so your Escape retains its factory look. Just note they do NOT fit the plug-in hybrids. Along with the Blue Ox base plates, here are all the parts needed to flat tow your '22 Escape Hybrid:

- Base Plate Kit: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU55XR

- Tow Bar: Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380

- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-152-1676-7

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400

- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR

Along with the Blue Ox base plates you'll need a compatible tow bar, and I really like the Alpha 2 because it's super easy to use. It connects to the base plates with arms that self-align - you just connect the tabs and drive your motorhome forward. Disconnecting is easy too, even when you're not on level ground, because you simply turn a handle on the bar to disengage. The tow bar has a 6,500 lb capacity, which is more than enough for your '22 Escape, and even comes with safety cables so you don't have to purchase those separately.

I like the Flexo-Coil wiring kit because it is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback, keeping your Escape's electrical system safe. The charge line kit is needed to keep your battery charged while it is being towed, and the Brake Lite relay is needed to ensure your Escape's brake signals don't override your motorhome's turn signals.

As for the braking system, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is easily the best because it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your Escape is going to get the same amount of braking power, resulting in much smoother braking than other systems.
