You will be able to flat tow the 2022 Ford Escape AWD Hybrid with your Blue Ox system. This base plate is compatible with the 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid and there was no generation change from 2021 to 2022. I am almost positive this base plate will work with your 2022 Escape Hybrid.

You will need the following base plate, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, part # BLU55XR. In the event I am incorrect and this base plate is not compatible with your 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, part # RM39FR, you attached to your question is compatible with your vehicle. Unfortunately, it is only compatible with a Roadmaster tow-bar. I recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10K, part # RM-422. This is a non-binding tow-bar that can be attached to your vehicle, even when it is not on flat ground.

The wiring kit you need is the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154. You will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles, part # RM-156-25. This charge kit will maintain the battery charge of your towed vehicle.

If you do not have a brake controller, I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional, part # HM39524. This is nice because it can be used in different vehicles. So if you replace this vehicle down the road, you will still be able to use this proportional brake controller. It should be paired with the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles, part # RM-88400. This brake-lite relay kit keeps your brake signal from overriding the turn signals sent by your RV.

I have included product description links, installation videos for everything except the brake control, and a video review link below.
