Recommended Brake Controller and Wiring Harnesses on a 1995 Dodge Ram

I have 1995 dodge ram 1500 pick up in great condition. I read about the P3. But didnt see it listed. Have a 2022 jayco trailer. Need to get everything l need to wire it. Do you have it. There is no trailer wires on it at all Thanks for your HELP

Congrats on keeping that old of a truck in great condition! Since you have no wiring at all for a trailer you are going to need a couple of wiring harnesses to build a 7-Way connector that will work with your 2022 Jayco Trailer. These harnesses will allow you to control your brakes with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 item # 90195.

The first harness you will need is the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118329. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located at the rear, along the inside of the frame rail on both the driver's and passenger's sides.

The second harness you will need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.

There is no plug in adapter for your 1995 Dodge Ram for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller item # 90195 so you will need to hardwire it in. The harness you will need to do this is included with the P3.
