The Fan-tastic fan I have original just says model 8000. The motor is getting squeaky and Id like to replace it. Is this the best -in replacement?

I spoke with my contact at Fan-Tastic Vents and she verified that the part #FVK8017-00 is a replacement for your 4000 can style motor. She said they actually have this listed as a fit in their system so you are good to go!

I see what you mean by "bow tie" motor mount as the brackets that hold the motor do resemble that. I wish we had just the mounts available but at this time best solution we can offer would be an all new motor with part #FVK8017-00.
