Flat Towing a 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser With Off-Road Bumper D-Ring Bumper Mounts

Question:

I have an ironman winch with the hidden bumper on the front of my FJ, The hidden winch has two shackle connections one on each side at just about the same location as the vehicle base for it. I want to connect a hitch to my motorhome and to these points on the solid hidden winch bumper. Blue Ox makes an adaptor does Roadmaster?

Roadmaster has two adapters for the connectors on your 2011 Toyota FJ. The 3/4" Adapter # RM-035 fits mounts that are 3/4" wide with either a 7/8" or 1" mounting hole. The 1" Adapter # RM-035-1 fits 1" wide mounts with the same 7/8" or 1" mounting hole. You will need to verify with the bumper manufacturer that it is rated for flat towing.

These adapters will replace the stock ends on the following Roadmaster tow bars.

BlackHawk
BlackHawk All-Terrain
BlackHawk 2 All-Terrain (RM-422)
Falcon (RM-520)
Falcon 2
Falcon 5250
Falcon All-Terrain (RM-522)
Nighthawk All-Terrain (RM-676)
Sterling
Sterling All-Terrain (RM-576)

You will need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 to connect to the tail lights on your FJ. This will also allow you to connect the charge line that comes with the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524.
