RoadActive Suspension Recommendation for 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 with Slide-In Camper
Question:
I am putting a Four Wheel camper on my truck. Payload listed for the truck is 2120. The camper dry weight will be 1300-1400 lbs. When I add people, water and gear, I will start to get close to the payload limit. Is the Roadmaster 4611 the best fit, or another option for my application?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS4611 is a solid option for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 but if you're going to be close to max-ing out your payload rating then I recommend using the next size up since this is rated for 2,000 lbs.
The next size up is the RAS Kit # RAS54FR which is rated for 3,000 lbs instead. This will just help your OEM suspension out a little more and give you better support.
Please note these will not fit High Country models with MagneRide suspension so if that's what you have then you need to go with the 3rd option, kit # RAS2611, which is rated for 2,000 lbs.
