Upgraded Suspension Kit for 2021 Grand Design Imagine Travel Trailer with 4,400 lb Tandem Axles

Question:

I have 4400lbs tandem axles, 35” spacing, 61” total, 7.5” current equalizer spacing center, 2.5-2.75 from center hole down to center 2 lower hole, 13-122 dexter, I like the road armor but not sure if would work, the morryde I like second and the dexter 3rd, any suggestions , morryde has a hole measuring you have to do and I seem to be ok, but others don’t seem to have any type specific measurements??

Thank you for the details!

The Road Armor line doesn't really have anything that matches up so we'll want to look at the MORryde and Dexter Axle options.

For the MORryde we have the kit # MR27ZR which is a little longer and lower but will still work out just fine since those greater measurements are still under an inch so I recommend going this route.

If you want something more exact then the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 is about the same length and height as what you have.

Either way you go will be an improvement to your OEM equalizers. I recommend using the MORryde since that appeals to you and has great performance but if you want that almost identical sizing you can use the E-Z Flex system.

The E-Z Flex comes with it's own shackles and bolts but for the MORryde you'll need a new kit if you're wanting to replace those as well. You can use the kit # MR46ZR if you have 2-1/4" shackle straps or the kit # MR76ZR for 3-1/8" shackle straps. These are measured center eye to center eye.

Attached are some videos for you to check out.
