Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2014 Subaru Forester with a Curt Hitch # C12100
Question:
I have a Curt 12100 hitch on my 2014 Subaru Forester and am buying a 13foot scamp trailer that has a hitch height of 18. The top of the ball mount would be at 14inch if it came straight out so I assume I need one with a 4inch rise. I see that the only one you offer is the Drawtite 3594. Will this fit in my Curt hitch? the length of the 3594 is good since it will put the ball about 4inch beyond the bumper.

It sounds like you have determined the correct amount of rise you would need in order for you to tow your trailer level. But just for good measure I attached a link to the right that details how to pick the correct rise/drop ball mount for a setup.
The part # 3594 that you referenced would fit your hitch and would give you the correct amount of rise, but since this ball mount is designed for Class I hitches it will have a lower capacity than Class II ball mounts. So as long as your trailer weighs less than 2,000 lbs and has a lower tongue weight than 200 lbs this ball mount would work well for you.
If you need a higher rated ball mount the closest thing to what you would need would be the 5 inch rise ball mount part # C45014.
For a 2 inch hitch ball you would want the part # 19258 and for a 1-7/8 inch ball you would want part # 19256.
