Setting Up 1,400 lb ProPride 3P Hitch PR97QR With Air Bags
Question:
Hi - I just bought your 1400 lb Propride 3p trailer hitch to haul a 10,500 RV trailer behind a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. I originally put heavy duty Airlift 5000 air shock bags on the truck to help compensate for too much rear end sag when towing a smaller trailer. What are your recommendations for how to setup the air bags in conjunction with your 3P hitch?

First, thanks for your purchase of the ProPride 3P Weight Distribution Hitch w/ Sway Control for 2" Receivers - 14K GTW, 1.4K TW # PR97QR.
You got a beast of a weight distribution hitch that's going to serve you very well to stop sway. Now as far as setting up the # PR97QR with air bags, according to the manufacturer, what you'll do is first hitch up your trailer, then set up your air bags almost to where you would normally have them, but you need to leave just a bit of squat.
After you do that then you will take the needed measurements for the full installation of the hitch.
