Troubleshooting a Ventline Ventadome V2119 Not Opening
Question:
Hello. We have a 2022 Winnebago Hike 171DB with a ventline v2119 vent fan above the shower. It has the motorized lift. The vent lid motor worked originally but stopped working pretty early on. Fan still works. Ive went up top and tugged on it to make sure its not stuck, pushed on it from below, etc. The arm just has it locked into place. Where should I start? Should I be checking to see if its an electrical thing like the 12v not getting there? Or if the fan is working should I just assume the motor/board is bad?

It sounds like the lift motor is no longer operating, but with the fan still working it does not seem like power supply is the problem. More likely that the motor is malfunctioning. We do have the replacement lift motor available for a V2119 like the Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # V2119-601-00.
- Replacement Gear Motor with Pinion Gear for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # BVB0601-00, this would be the route to go if the motor is not running.
If the motor sounds like it is running but still not working then you may need the Replacement Plastic Gear for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # BVD0121-00 which operates the lift arm.
With it being a newer trailer, you may want to contact where you purchased the travel trailer about your problem to see if it is something they will handle.
