Do All Trailer Tires Require Full Max PSI When Towing

Question:

My Travel trailer placard indicates 65psi. But the tire manufacturers inflation chart only calls for 25psi at the trailers full gvwr minus tongue weight. That sounds tremendously low for a 24 foot full size travel trailer but they insist its correct. A huge disparity. Seems to me if I run 65 psi, the middle of the tire is going to wear heavily and the trailer will ride rough, but if I use 25 then I risk blowouts. Looking for an expert opinion, thx.

Most trailer tires require the full max PSI at all times regardless of load, but there are some tires out there like Goodyear that do have inflation charts like you mentioned where you need to use a certain PSI based on the load of the trailer. I would recommend sticking with what the tire manufacturer recommended and not what is on the trailer placard as that could have been for a different tire altogether.
