First you will need to ensure that the 5th wheel camper that you are wanting to tow does not exceed the towing capacity or tongue weight rating for your 2016 Ford F-150. You will likely need to contact a Ford dealership or check with their towing guide for your vehicle.
It is also recommended that on a 5-1/2' bed that you use a fixed 5th wheel hitch like the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928. This will allow you to use a Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin # RP34FR or similar pin box on your trailer. The Sidewinder pin box moves your pivot point 22" to the rear allowing you to make turns without contacting your cab to the side of the trailer. Since the axle center line is so close to the cab on your F-150 this is needed. The Andersen # AM3200 only provides a 9" offset and we specifically list not to be used on beds shorter than 6'. You will need a Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C93WR to add the 5th wheel hitch to your bed.
Using air suspension will allow you to reduce the sag that you may get and make for a safer towing experience. Your F-150 will use different kits depending on if it is 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers, 2WD Kit # AL88268 or 4WD Kit # AL88385. The internal jounce bumpers will help reduce bouncing that is typically felt in the rear suspension when carrying heavy loads. The Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000EZ will allow you to adjust the air pressure in each spring with either the included wireless remote or you can use your smart phone with the Air Lift app. This compressor uses a smart manifold that will maintain the air pressure in each bag to within 3psi of your setting while your truck is being operated.
