Availability of Class IV Hitch for 2022 Lexus GX 460 Towing Airstream Bambi 16RB
Question:
Hello, we have a Lexus GX 460 and looking to tow an Airstream 16rb bambi. Do you sell a class 4 curt hitch or is a class 3 the only available for this vehicle? We are unable to locate a class 4 hitch on your site or anywhere else. Appreciate any additional information you can provide. Thanks

The only hitches available for your 2022 Lexus GX 460 are Class III like the Curt # C13043. Looking at the Airstream Bambi 16RB this should not be a problem. The trailer has a GVWR of 3,500 lbs so there would be nothing gained by using a Class IV hitch with a higher capacity. The Curt has a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and tongue weight of 500 lbs.
You will also need the ZXI Circuit Protected Vehicle wiring harness # 119250KIT. This kit will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. If you need a 7-way you will also need the # ETBC7. This kit comes with an adapter, wiring, and everything else you need to upgrade your 4-way to a 7-way.
If your Airstream has brakes and you need a brake controller, I recommend checking out the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. For a ball mount, you could use the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
