Do I Need a Separate Tank for Air Bags and a Compressor on a 2012 Ram 2500?
Question:
I am looking at the air bag kit #F2299 and Compressor kit F2158 for use on a 2012 Ram 2500 4wd. The compressor kit mentions a tank do I need to install a tank or can I run the compressor line directly to the bags?

You do not need to install a tank for the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Light-Duty Compressor - Single Function item # F2158 to inflate the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2299. These components are confirmed to work together and fit your 2012 Ram 2500. The air bags have a 5,000 lbs capacity and fit both 2WD and 4WD trucks.
If you want to inflate the air bags individually with different air pressures to compensate for uneven loads I recommend the Firestone Air Command II item # F2219. The item # F2158 you referenced will allow you to inflate both of your air springs from the comfort of your cab but since it is a single path compressor they will have identical PSI.
