Blue Ox Patriot or SBS Stay-in-Play DUO Braking System Comparison

Question:

We are looking at adding a tow vehicle and Ive been looking into different braking options and prices for that matter. The plug and play system that is permanently mounted in the Jeep and seems that once it is installed it is not cheap or even worth it to remove it and add it to another vehicle in the future. I plan on keeping the tow vehicle for many years and have no intentions of changing the tow car in the future. The other one is the Blue Ox Patriot brake that is removed every time you get to a new campsite. I am leaning towards the permanent mount although it costs more. Which would you recommend?

Temporary install braking systems like the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR are really great options for if you plan to only flat tow occasionally and you know the vehicle won't be around. For your situation a permanent install solution like the Demco SBS DUO part # SM99251 is for sure the way to go. This kit is our installers favorite because of how much easier it installs compared other similar permanent mount kits and because of how well it performs.
