Should I Upgrade To a ProPride/Hensley 3P Weight Distribution Hitch For Long Camping Trip?
Question:
Im looking to take my family on a long trip from Michigan to the mountains in Colorado with my 2019 Salem Villa Estate. Im towing with a 2.7L EcoBoost F150 and a chain/sway controller hitch. I was wondering if I should upgrade my hitch before I go to maybe a Hensley or Propride just for safety purposes?

The ProPride 3P Weight Distribution Hitch w/ Sway Control # PR57QR is going to be a vast improvement over the current chain/friction sway bar you currently have. The ProPride is far superior in the sway control which you will notice when driving across the plains. The high winds in the plains states makes driving with other weight and sway hitches very uncomfortable as you see and feel the trailer being blown by the high winds. I do recommend upgrading your hitch for the safety and peace of mind knowing you have the best hitch available.
