Recommended ProPride Weight Distribution Hitch for Flagstaff Travel Trailer

My new F150 is a hybrid w/ max tow package and a 12700 max tow rating. The trailer is 26’ flagstaff has a GVRW of 6,800lbs. I’m interested in this ProPride, which one should I get?

A weight distribution hitch should be selected based on the fully loaded tongue weight of your setup. The best way to get your tongue weight is to use a scale like the # e99044. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of your trailer weight so in this case we will use your GVWR of 6,800 lbs. That would make your tongue weight 680-1,020 lbs.

Based on this information, the correct ProPride would be the ProPride 3P Weight Distribution Hitch w/ Sway Control for 2" Receivers - 10K GTW, 1K TW # PR57QR. This WDH has a tongue weight range of 700-1,000 lbs. However, I do still recommend finding your actual tongue weight to verify this information. If the system is overrated you will have a bouncy ride.
