Best Industry Standard Rail Kit for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500

Question:

I have a 2014 silverado 3500.I also have a 15k pro series Reese hitch w/ 43inch rails. I would like to mount the rails with a 56001 outboard mount,as my frame is already pre drilled for, but Im reading that my rails are not compatible with the mount, and that I would need to get the 30153 rails 49. The videos I watched said the rails are 16k and up. Will my hitch work on these new rails? Curios what the measurements are. Thank you.

Thanks for the picture! What you have read is correct and by taking a look at your picture I can confirm that your current rails will not work with the 56001 Reese Quick-Install Out Board Brackets. There is a Reese Kit available with both the 56001 Brackets and the 30153 rails but I have a better solution. I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC item # C16411-204. These have an identical installation method as the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit item # RP56001-53 but are in stock 6/1/2022 and will save you quite a bit of money. Both of these rails are compatible with your Pro Series hitch. I have linked installation instructions and videos below for both of these rail kits.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56070. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient. I have linked an installation video below.
