Are Swivel Skid Wheels or Jumbo Roller Wheels Better For Trailer When Backing Straight in Driveway
Question:
You show the skid wheels as being swivel but if I was backing up in my drive way should I use stationary or swivel?

This is a two fold answer according to my technical contact at Ultra-Fab.
If you happen to be turning at the same time you are backing up then you will want to go with the caster type wheels # UF48-979011 that you referenced. I do want to mention that swivel casters are for motor homes up to 30 ft long.
In you only hit ground when you are backing straight into your driveway then you will want the roller type, Ultra Fab # UF48-979023.
Both wheels have advantages. The caster is good if you happen to hit an unknown low spot while turning, the caster will react, however, it is not as strong as the steel roller. The steel roller advantage is its strength, but, this one has to be welded to your RV.
The swivel casters are sold as a pair and the steel rollers are sold as each.
At the end of the day, if you know that you only need assistance in your driveway backing straight, then the roller would work well, but, if you possibly need assistance when turning occasionally, then, it is better to go with the caster.
