Can Safety Cable Extensions Be Used on a 10k Trailer
Question:
I have a 10k flat deck trailer I was looking for 10k saftey chain extensions for it maybe 6 long wondering if you have anything like that

I do have an option for you but for safety reason, we don't recommend using safety cable extensions on this application or with something this large. These are used exclusively for flat-towed vehicles. I instead recommend replacing the safety chains on the trailer entirely with a longer set more suited for your needs. I'm not sure of the exact length you need but we have plenty of length options for a trailer this size. The Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks part # 49150 for example measure 44" long and are rated for up to 16,000 lbs. I have attached our full list below if you need another length.
It should be pretty easy to replace the chains entirely, unless the links are welded in which case you would just grind them off and drill a hole in either side on the frame and attach the first link with a bolt and nut.
