How much of a problem is installing a hidden hitch on this vehicle. I Dont want anything showing except the receiver. Not all the metal parts showing

We do offer a mostly concealed option for the 2013 Honda CR-V, the EcoHitch # 306-X7297. The installation is pretty involved, it would involve temporarily removing the rear bumper cover and underbody panel. The underbody panel will need to be notched to allow the receiver tube to pass through it.

Once installed, the only visible portion of the hitch would be the receiver tube and the safety chain loops. The remainder of the hitch will be concealed behind the bumper.

EcoHitch estimates it'll take a trained professional 1-1/2 to 2 hours to install the hitch. For a novice, you an expect it'll take twice that time.

If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, part # 118561, a ball mount like # 2753 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.

I'll link to an install video for the hitch and the trailer wiring harness.
