Hitch arrived on-time and was packaged fairly well. You will need a full 100pc socket wrench set or specifically purchase the socket for these larger bolts as well as a 6 - 8" extension. I held the hitch in place and used a floor jack to take the weight of it. Made installation not too painful and I finished in under an hour by myself.

I ordered a Draw Tight but received a Reece, don't know what's up with that but the hitch was well made and fit as it should.

This part fit my 2000 Rodeo perfectly. However, my particular install was a p.i.t.a with this car. The exhaust is blocking the right side of the hitch from aligning easily with the mounting holes. So, you have to come in at a weird angle to clear the exhaust. But, you will scrape the exhaust mounting hook. It's just cosmetics so I didn't care. But, if you care, make sure to remove your exhaust before the install. The hitch felt like it weighed 80-100lbs. So, imagine laying on the ground and bench pressing that hitch trying to get your first bolt in. I had a chair underneath the car so one side of the hitch can rest on it while I lifted the other side to put in the first bolt. The bolts fit in perfectly if the hitch is properly aligned. I love it when bolts just push into place. Now, I've never torqued a bolt to 150ft-lbs before. Three of the six included bolts have to be torqued to that spec. I did it myself but it was a struggle and few resting moments. You may need an extra arm to help you. My arms are still sore as I am typing this review. On the passenger side of the car, three of the lower spec torque rated bolts needed to be installed. Remember I didn't remove the exhaust? The exhaust pipe just so happens to block the second mounting hole. I had a partner pull the exhaust away while I was under the car tightening that bolt. It was only a 58ft-lb torque spec but I had no leverage being under that car laid down. It was a p.i.t.a! But, at least it wasn't one of the 150's haha. As for the last bolt that needed to run thru the frame to the last hole, the kit don't come with a wire. I used a metal hanger and 10lb fishing line to pull that bolt thru the frame. So far, I'm happy with the product. Again, this is for a 2000 Rodeo. My experience may not be the same for you and your particular car.

I've been under my car a few times before but I was still a bit nervous about being able to this hitch on my car. It took some time but I'm really happy with how the hitch fits, looks, and functions. The directions are really straight forward, but with my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo (with the spare on the back, not underneath the car), I had to pull the rear bumper up to access the inside of the frame which was a bit tricky. Once we got that figured out, putting the hitch in took some banging with a hammer to get it fitted to the towing hook and some creative work of a hanger and double sided tape. Overall I'm happy with the product and would definitely recommend someone to this site and to this hitch again.

Trailer hitch arrived in timely manner. Really only took 30 - 45 minutes to install. Fit perfectly.... very good instructions. If ever need hitch for other vehicle will certainly be a return customer. I would recommend to friends and family !

  • Concealed Trailer Hitch Option for 2013 Honda CR-V
We do offer a mostly concealed option for the 2013 Honda CR-V, the EcoHitch # 306-X7297. The installation is pretty involved, it would involve temporarily removing the rear bumper cover and underbody panel. The underbody panel will need to be notched to allow the receiver tube to pass through it. Once installed, the only visible portion of the hitch would be the receiver tube and the safety chain loops. The remainder of the hitch will be concealed behind the bumper. EcoHitch estimates...
