Demco Hijacker Autoslide Hitch Chucking When Making Tight Turn On A 2019 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a Demco 18000 lb Hijacker Autoslide Hitch. It mounts with a Ford puck type mount. Truck is 2019 F250 Super Duty. Problem is when going foreword while turning ie coming from a driveway usually a sharp turn. When almost straight the hitch makes a loud noise and truck will jerk. Also, there is a little chucking at the pin, usually on secondary worn pavement roads. any help is appreciated.

For your 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 I recommend making sure that the jaws are closed fully around the king pin, and that the capture plates are adjusted appropriately.

If you've towed your trailer a bunch of times before, It may be components wearing down and your best course of action is to refer to your owner's manual for the proper care and maintenance.

If you've already done this, let me know and we can try some other troubleshooting.
