Can Curt 57186 7-Way Adapter Work with Curt 51180 Echo Wireless Brake Controller
Question:
Hi, Can I use this item Curt 57186 with the Curt 51180 Echo Wireless Brake Controller and install it the same way I would install the ETBC7L? In other words, since Im going to be using the wireless brand controller can I just skip the steps involving the brake controller wiring going through the firewall and connecting to the brake sensor wire and just hook this into my existing 4 pin connector, connect the ground and run the black wire to the battery with one of the circuit breakers? Thanks,

Yes, you can use the Curt Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # C57186 instead of the # ETBC7L to install the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180. You'd do exactly like what you mentioned. You'd wire up just the black wire to the vehicle battery with the included wire and 40 amp breaker and you'd be set.
