Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2009 Smart fortwo
Question:
would like a hidden hitch if i could

Expert Reply:
The only trailer hitch available for the 2009 Smart fortwo is Curt hitch # C11020. Since this vehicle should not be used for towing I assume you are using it for a bike rack or cargo carrier. Any accessories that you use will need to be compatible with a Class I trailer hitch.
Also on a Class I trailer hitch if you want to carry bikes you will be limited to 2 bike at most. Otherwise the distance of a third or subsequent bikes puts too much weight too far from the receiver and can damage the hitch and the vehicle. Curt also requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 for all non-trailer loads. The strap reduces some of the stress on the hitch.
