Today we're going to be taking a look at the Texas A&M University two-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black, powdercoat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front we're going to have the crystal-embedded, chrome-plated emblem. It's got a nice rust-proof and fade-proof design.
The product is American made. Here on the back side, it's got a foam gasket that slides over the piece that goes into the receiver tube of your hitch. The foam gasket is going to do a great job at reducing rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for a complete installation. Those items are sold separately, but if you're interested in one, you can find them right here at eTrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept the standard 5/8-inch diameter pin.
The hitch cover face is going to give us an overall width of about 5 inches with an overall height of about 3-1/2 inches and then the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole is going to measure pretty close to 2-1/2 inches. This is designed for a two-inch by two-inch hitch. Very simple installation, just slide it into the receiver tube until you get the pin holes to line up and then secure it in place with the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. The items were delayed in coming from the vendor to the shipping center and the team for etrailer was amazing in communicating why there was a delay, the status of the product, and when I could expect to receive it. These are planned holiday gifts for my Wife that I had planned for well in advance so a delay was not an issue - the fact that the eTrailer team kept me apprised of the items status however is the main reason for my writing this review. The customer service was PHENOMENAL. The items arrived and are as ordered. Both fit the vehicle they were ordered for (Wife's truck), and she will be appreciative of them.
The hitch cover has her 'bling' for her TX Aggies and compliments well with the color scheme, Aggie colors. The cover will protect the piping from exposure and rusting, enabling our hitch usage for towing out trailers, and when not towing, have the Bling proudly on display.
I highly recommend this product.

Perfect addition to the his & hers vehicle. Very nice solid construction with just the right amount of bling, classy USMC logo. Especially like the rounded edges, thinking they will lessen the bruising during unexpected close encounters

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

I took about a month shopping before I purchased. The one thing I didn't want was a cheap plastic hitch cover representing my team. I love this hitch cover because it is high quality and really stands out. After having it a year it still looks like it did the day it arrived. Thank you etrailer for outstanding quality. The hitch cover is perfect in detail,powder coated with U.S.M.C.enblem and fits a 2" trailer hitch.
Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.
