Will 20x48 etrailer Cargo Carrier Cause Backup Sensors to Go Off on Vehicle

Does this cause the backup sensors to detect an obstruction and sound the alarm when a Kia Sedona minivan is in reverse?

Expert Reply:
Although we haven't tested it out, in our experience anything like the 20x48 etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874 behind a vehicle with the backup sensors will cause them to go off so you'll need to manually disable them when you're using this carrier. You should be able to find the steps to do so in your owner's manual.
The only way to avoid all of this is to install a roof rack on your vehicle and use a roof mount cargo carrier. If you want to go this route let me know and I can make some recommendations for you.
