Replacement Brake Assembly For 7 x 1-1/4 Brakes
Question:
I bought this brake system from you guys a few years ago and need brake pads, how can I tell what pads to buy. Is there a number on them somewhere?

Expert Reply:
There should be a sticker on on the brake assembly that will have the serial number and manufacturer however that sticker may have worn off over time.
I went ahead and looked up your order and it appears you ordered the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-2.
These braking assemblies will fit wheels sizing 10" to 13", and has an axle rating of 2,000lbs.
You may also need the Replacement Shoe and Lining for 7" Electric Brake Assemblies # AKBRKR-S-7 as well.
What you can do for next time if you don't want to have to call or send a question in is either peel off the sticker and put it in a binder or folder that has your trailer information, or you can simply just record the information via pen and paper and stow it somewhere safe.
That way, you can refer to what you need and easily find what you're looking for.
