Can The Pivot Arms On A OEM Sliding Companion Hitch Be Swapped To Gain More Clearance

Question:

Are the upright standards that the hitch head mounts to reversible within the lower frame to move the hitch head back a few extra inches? My current BandW Companion measures 38” from the cab to the center of the kingpin clasp I am using a Lippert Turning Point kingpin with wedge I need to have at least 51” when the slider is back for tight turns. The travel of the slider base is 12”. I’m trying to get an extra inch or two so I can switch to a rubber pin box ti reduct bucking and chucking. Thanks.

Because the Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ram Towing Prep Package - 20K # BWRVB3670 is a sliding base the pivot arms don't have the extra column to moved the arms forward or backwards. They could be swapped from side to side to giving you about 1-2" difference, like you're needing.
