Blue Ox Base Plate For 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU & Parts Needed to Flat Tow
Question:
Hi I’m looking to get my 2017 Jeep Wrangler jku blue ox baseplate . We already have that installed on the Motorhome we bought last year . I’m looking for the whole package, including wiring . I’ve been told there is a way to wire it up so that the Jeep battery gets charged from the Motorhome while traveling . Thanks

We can get your 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU set up with a Blue Ox base plate, and it will fit so long as you have the standard factory bumper (as opposed to an aftermarket off-road bumper). To make it easy to order I'll go ahead and list out all the parts you need:

This will be everything you need to flat tow your '17 Wrangler with the Blue Ox base plates, and for the tow bar, I really like the Ascent due to its long, 51 inch arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing. It also has integrated safety cables so you don't have to purchase those separately.
The Flexo-Coil wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Jeep's electrical system safe, and the charge kit will be what you need to keep your battery at full power. For the braking system, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is by far the best option, and the reason for that is it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your Jeep is going to get the same amount of braking power. This results in much smoother braking than most systems which send out a pre-set amount of braking power, giving you a more comfortable and easier-to-control ride when flat towing.
