Everchill RV Refrigerator Compressor Not Staying On For More Than Two Days

Question:

I have a brand new fridge in our camper that when we brought it home it ran for 2 days plugged into power then went warm. Everything else still worked besides the condenser I did a reset of 8 hours powered off. Powered back up and ran for a day or two and was cold then all of a sudden went warm and the thermostat light was blinking. Did another reset and unit worked for another day or two then same thing. So currently unit is currently turned off. I’ve heard people say to run a piggyback off the ground wire on the back and has solved the issue. Anyone have any truth to this? I don’t want to drill or anything because the unit is brand new and still under warranty but I don’t want to wait months either if it’s something simple I can possibly fix

This could be a power issue on your Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer - 10.7 Cu Ft - 12V - Stainless Steel, part # 324-000119, since everything is working except for the condenser on your refrigerator. The compressor on your unit will not operate unless it receives at least 10.5 volts of power. You can use a multimeter, part # PT89ZR, to test the power output. You also may have to change the gauge of your wire depending on the length you need. I will included a chart indicating the wire gauge you need for the length of wire you will use. I have included a product description link below.

I also asked a representative from Everchill. They said it could possibly be your defrost relay sticking. If this is the case, you will need a new circuit board to fix the issue. You would have to contact Everchill for warranty information.
