How do I Remove the Demco 5th Wheel Adapter # DM6194?
Question:
i recently purchased a 2018 2500hd silverado 6.5 ftbox with a 6194 adapter plate and a reese 20000 lb slider hitch i have attempted to remove it from the box of my truck following the instructions n line and it wont come out, i have left it attached to my trailer and lifted the truck completely off the ground with the actuator turned 90 degrees , what should i doo to remove it from the box?

The first thing you need to do with the Demco 5th Wheel Adapter # DM6194 is to make sure you loosen the pads/feet if you tightened them with a hex wrench. Then, you need to make sure that the that the 1/4" lock bolt and 1/4" internal tooth lock are properly loosened. The locking turn plate must then be turned to its original position. It is important to make sure that it is in the full horizontal position so it does not catch on the lip of the truck bed.
If you've completed these steps as the directions state, the only other option is to carefully cut the adapter from the bed of your truck. I went ahead and attached the instructions for your convenience.
