Will this work in a older 2013 gmc 2500 hitch? It is 2.5in but not a new truck. I plan to buy a new truck in the next year or 2 and wanted to just go ahead and get this instead of buying 2 different ones

Yes, the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS20066BMP does work in older GM trucks like your 2013 GMC 2500. Basically it fits all 2-1/2 inch hitches but just has a cut out in the shank that allows the MultiPro tailgate to function without interference as well.
