Ladder Rack and Above the Bed Crossbar Setup for Yakima Cargo Basket and Roof Top Tent

I am looking to add the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-58 to the bed of my 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 extended bed which will hold a tent. I would also like to use the Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket below the tent but above the bed of my truck. What would I need to accomplish this?

I would be happy to help. To use the Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket item # Y07080 above 2013 Ram 1500's bed you will need the Yakima BedRock HD Truck Bed Rack item # Y01160-59. These crossbars have a 300 lbs capacity and will span the width of your bed. The adjustable towers with quick-release levers clamp to your bed rails. There is no drilling or rail system required for install.

I recommend adding the 4 pack Yakima Same Key System item # Y07204 to secure the BedRock system from theft. The Locking Brackets with SKS Cores for Yakima Warrior Series Roof Cargo Baskets item # Y07064 will secure your Basket to the crossbars of the BedRock System. To have matching locks in both systems you would want to use the 6 pack of Yakima Same Key System item # Y07206.

I can also confirm that the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # Y01151-58 does fit your 2013 Ram 1500 long bed. This ladder rack fits all bed lengths of Ram 1500's.

For a roof top tent that is compatible with this set up, I recommend the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars item # Y07437.
