Brake Controller and Trailer Hitch for 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
Question:
Hi, I just bought brand new 2022 Jeep Grand cherokee L and I am trying to install trailer hitch for towing camping trailer but I am not sure where I have to start. Please recommend me which item I have to buy and install such as hitch, wiring, and brake controller. Thank you

For a hitch the Draw Tite part # DT42GR is a great option that is mostly hidden and has great towing capacities. This is a great place to start. Now for the wiring and brake controller you need to start with a 4-way like the part # C27BR which is a confirmed fit, has the easiest install, and is most reliable. To convert it to a 7-way and install a brake controller would require the # ETBC7 you mentioned.
For a brake controller I really like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR and # RED69FR is a really great option. It is proportional which means it applies brakes as hard as you press brake pedal and also only puts a small knob on your dash.
