Will the Stallion Aluminum Basket # 288-09200 Fit My Factory Crossbars on a 2008 Chevy Suburban?

Is it possible to tell if this rook top basket will fit a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban cross bar? And, does the mounting brackets include any rubberized materials that mate with the roof crossbars of the vehicle to prevent metal on metal / paint scratching? Many thanks!!!

While we don't have the exact specs of the height and width of your 2008 Chevy Suburban, the Aluminum Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 44" Long x 39" Wide x 7" Deep # 288-09200 can fit pretty large crossbars. However, in order to confirm for sure, I recommend measuring your factory crossbars. If you crossbars do not exceed 2" tall x 4-3/4" wide, the # 288-09200 definitely fits.
As far as the mounting brackets, the basket comes with a plastic spacer on the top side to serve as an intermediary between the top metal bracket and the crossbar. As far as the bottom, the U-bolt is made of metal. However, the basket will be snug enough to not have any movement that produces the opportunity for scratching. I went ahead and attached a video that shows these components starting at timestamp :35.
If you are worried about scratching, I recommend the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 40" Wide # Y07138. This basket comes with rubberized clamps. In order to confirm the fitment, I recommend measuring you crossbars to make sure they do not exceed 3 inches wide x 1-1/2 inches tall I went ahead and linked a video reviewing this basket as well.
