Condensation in RV When Air Conditioner is Used

Question:

Hello, I purchased a Furrion AC from you one year ago and it sweats from the inside of the coach. Is there anything that I can do to stop this? Also will a 170 ah lithium battery power this unit? Thank you,

You will want to check the gasket seal on the installed Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner, # FR86PR for alignment or damage. The rooftop unit is fixed on the RV roof using 4 long bolts through the mounting frame from the interior of the RV ceiling. Check the gasket alignment of the rooftop unit inside the RV over the roof opening and adjust as necessary by lifting and moving slightly.

Another common reason for this is because when the air conditioner moves the humidity from indoors to outdoors it creates condensation especially when camping in an area with high humidity. For this you may want to consider installing a dehumidifier.

The 170 AH battery will not power the AC unit, theoretically a battery bank can power an AC unit but ab air conditioner draws such a large amount of power that the battery bank would need to very large and not practical for RV use.
