Trailer Hitch Receiver and Bike Rack For a Flat Towed 2018 Chevrolet Spark to Carry 2 E-Bikes
Question:
We have a 2018 Chevy Spark and want to carry our 2 e-bikes behind our toad the Chevy Spark instead of our RV. We already have a great 2” receiver Thule Bike rack for our 2 e-bike. We just ordered the Curt Trailer Hitch Fit Class I , per recommendation from E-trailer, and didn’t realize until we got it that it has a 1-1/4” receiver. Do you have one with a 2” receiver that will fit our car? If not, do you have an adapter? Thanks

The class I Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11433 with the 1-1/4" receiver is the only size available for your 2018 Chevrolet Spark. There is not currently a 2" custom fit receiver for your Spark.
If you were to use the Adapter # HTAD this will reduce the receiver tongue weight capacity in half. So rather than the Draw-Tite receiver being able to support 200lbs it will only be able to support 100lbs. This will likely not be enough capacity for the Thule rack and the 2 e-bikes you will be carrying.
I recommend a Lets Go Aero NEO2 2-Bike Rack # B01748 as it will fit into your class I receiver without an adapter. This rack is capable of holding 2 bikes by the wheels up to 40lbs each. This is currently our heaviest bike carrier that is approved for use on flat towed vehicles that fits your class I receiver.
