Will the Hollywood Racks RV Bike Rack Work With on a RV that is Flat Towing a Vehicle

Question:

I am looking for a good hitch mounted bike rack that is appropriate for the back of a Motorhome. I also tow a truck using a split hitch. My concern is will there be enough clearance to make a sharp turn without the rack contacting/crushing the front fenders? I tow a 2013 Toyota Tacoma. I have attached a photo of the split hitch. Thank you.

If you are worried about the possibility of a bike rack hitting your flat towed 2013 Toyota Tacoma, then a few quick measurements might help.
Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack # HLY64FR, measures 32 inches from the center hitch pin hole to the farthest edge of the rack. With your Tacoma hooked up to your RV, measure the distance from the center hole of the top receiver to the front edge of your Tacoma. Take the number and subtract it from the 40-inch measurement. The difference will be the amount of clearance you will have between the edge of the rack and the truck.

Then move your RV to where your turning, in a parking lot away from other cars, and your Tacoma is at the closest to your RV when in the turn. The take a measurement from the center of the pin to the edge of the closest part of your truck. If this number is more than your previous clearance distance, chances are this rack will hit your Tacoma when turning.
