Recommended Brake Controller for 2021 Thor Class A Motorhome
Question:
I have recently bought a 2021 Thor class A motorhome needing a brake controller for pulling my car trailer I don’t want to have to scab the wiring together it does have the factory tow package just doesn’t have brake controller. Looking for the best economical controller.

For a high quality brake controller at a good price I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR. This is the same as the Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR you were looking at with the exception of the user controlled mode, which is something you will have no need for.
This proportional controller will allow you to hide the main unit out of sight, with only the control knob visible in the cab of your motorhome. The knob controls the braking power and also acts as an emergency override. It uses colored LED lights for diagnostics as well. The Liberty features a 3-Axis accelerometer and active calibration technology which continuously monitors your direction of travel.
In addition to the brake controller you will also want the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED87FR. This will allow you to plug directly into your factory tow port so no wire splicing is required.
