Correct Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller on 2017 Ford E-450 Motorhome
Question:
2017 ford e450 motorhome. I installed a redarc 331ebrh accv2 directly behind the factory plug center of dash. The control knob was installed just right of the steer wheel about 12-14” below the key ignition on the lower panel. Once I plugged it in the truck key fob security system got interference and the truck would not start. When I unplugged the redarc controller the key fob security system worked fine. Why is the redarc interfering with the security system? How can I get this brake controller to function without interfering with the key fob security system?

I took a look at your order for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR, and while it will work with your 2017 Ford E-450 motorhome, it also looks like you have the wrong plug-in adapter. It looks like you ordered the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # 331-TPH-007, which is the incorrect harness for a 2017 E-450.
The correct harness for a 2017 Ford E-450 is the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # 331-TPH-005.
This harness has a plug with different pins, so using this harness should correct the problems you are having.
