How many inches will Malone cross bars stick out past the stock roof rack.?

The Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised, Factory Side Rails - Aluminum - 65" Long, part # MPG217, has 65" crossbars. You can measure the distance between the raised rails on your 2005 BMW X5 and subtract that amount from 65" and divide by 2. That will give you the approximate overhang of your crossbars beyond the tower.
