2015 Ford Explorer Part Needed to Flat Tow Behind Motorhome
Question:
Can you flat tow a 2015 Ford Explorer AWD

According to the online owner's manual you can flat tow your 2015 Ford Explorer since it is an AWD. For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components check out the list of parts I recommend using below:
Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - # BX2632
Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar (with safety cables) - # BX4370
Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit - # RM-15267
Charge Line Kit - # RM-156-25
Brake Buddy Select 3 Braking System - # HM39524
A lot of flat towing setups might require the use of a high-low adapter to keep the tow bar level while towing a vehicle. I have linked a helpful article for you to reference to see if this applies to you. You can also get to our selection of high-low adapters from this helpful article.
