Best Underbed Gooseneck & Air Bags 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
I have 2006 Ford F-350 king ranch. Need 30,000 under bed gooseneck setup and air bags that will work with that hitch. I been looking and not sure which set up is the best. I am doing this soon I am buying the trailer soon and want to be ready. Is there a 7500 hundred pound airbag system that will work with the hitch. I have a heavy camper and three horse trailer I pull to and the 5000 pound bags I have now at 90 pounds almost seems like it not enough for the weight.

Let's go ahead and start with the gooseneck, and the best underbed gooseneck trailer hitch for your 2006 Ford F-350 is from B&W:
- B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1108
The Turnoverball # BWGNRK1108 is a 30,000 lb hitch like you are wanting, and is the best because it has a square base for its hitch ball which ensures optimal strength with a much quieter ride than other hitches. The square base means the hitch ball isn't going to turn, keeping the connection to your gooseneck coupler totally stable so there isn't the rattling that is constantly present on gooseneck hitches that use a ball with a round base.
A square base also makes it much simpler to line up the pin when securing the ball, and also removes any gap between the ball and the socket. This means less dirt and grime being able to get inside the base, so the ball has much less of a chance to seize inside the hitch compared to a round hitch ball.
As for the air bags, while there isn't a 7,500 lb option for air bags on your '06 F-350, there are 5,000 lb air bags compatible with a gooseneck, depending on if you have a 2WD or 4WD:
- 2WD: Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2398
- 4WD: Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2400
It's okay for you to be up around 90 psi for the air pressure, as these bags have a 100 psi maximum. So long as your F-350 is getting the support it needs with the 90 psi, there's no need for anything more robust. The Firestone are also the most well-constructed air bags available because they are made with four layers of reinforced rubber, which is a thicker, more reliable construction than other air bags which have just two layers of rubber.
The only other thing you may need if you don't have it is an in-bed wiring harness, the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070.
